After finishing Ph.D. in Computational Condensed Matter Physics from IIT Roorkee in 1996, Arti joined as CSIR-Research Associate in MNIT, Jaipur and also took part-time teaching there.

From 2002-2005, worked as postdoc at UNL, Nebraska (USA) followed by Visiting Scientist at IFW, Dresden (Germany).

In 2005, Arti joined LNMIIT, Jaipur and worked there until she moved to IIT Mandi in 2011 as Associate Professor (Joint Appointment).

Her main research interests are in electronic structure calculations using first principles approach.

Being a native of Mandi town, Arti strive with passion and zeal to be the flag bearer for the growing IIT in my home town.

Arti is passionate to serve the society, particularly through educational activities and technological intervention to uplift the hilly livelihood.
