Sandhya Vishal is an experienced Legal, Compliance and D&I Leader with over two decades of experience across Legal, compliance, regulatory and Govt affairs with work experiences in law firm, Big 4consulting, Banking and Data company. As a result of this combined experience, she is able to guide and advise businesses and management to grow and sustain in challenging environments.
Sandhya’s exposure to different experiences, roles and cultures has shaped her career journey. As the Chief Counsel and Integrity Leader, Sandhya is also a part of NielsenIQ's South Asia Leadership Team. In her role, she brings a confluence of best practices across Legal, Ethics, Integrity and policy-making to the forefront.
She is a recognised leader in providing strategic direction on navigating businesses through challenging environments from a legal and compliance standpoint and in the administration and management of D&I organizational policies, procedures, programs, and other initiatives.
Sandhya believes in enabling and creating an ecosystem that fosters diversity of thought and people and an active enabler for creating inclusive spaces for everyone to grow and thrive. In addition to being a Sponsor for diversity & inclusion at NielsenIQ, India where she oversees initiation and management of DEI activities at the India level, she is also a Global Executive Sponsor for one of the ERGs, WIN – Women in NielsenIQ to drive changes with the D&I Leadership and local teams.
Sandhya holds a Bachelor of Law degree from Mahatma Gandhi University, Cochin. She has been a recipient of the Legal 500 GC Award, Legal Era Rising Star Award and other awards. Sandhya has represented NielsenIQ as the company featured and earned a special place in The Economic Times Best Workplaces for Women 2021 and Avtar 100 Best Companies for Women. Furthermore, she is a member of The Conference Board’s (TCB) Asia Council for Gender Equity. Aside from other accolades, she has been recognized by Transformance Business Media as one of India's 20 Most Influential DEI leaders.
She regularly speaks at conferences on various issues like Compliance, Governance, Ethics, and Investigations besides topics on D&I. Besides being involved in a few professional women's communities, Sandhya also takes part in mentorship positions outside of work.
